Growing up in the Linden community and attending Crestview, I was one of seven children. I understand the feeling of not having everything you need. These experiences have instilled in me a deep understanding of the struggles many families face in our community.

That’s why I have a passion for giving back. Some of my best memories from elementary school are with Mrs. Ashmore, my favorite teacher. She used to share pictures from her vacations on a projector, opening up a world beyond our neighborhood and inspiring us to dream big. Those moments showed me the possibilities that lay beyond our immediate surroundings.

Now, as the owner of a couple of barbershops in urban communities in Columbus, OH, I’m committed to making a difference. Hosting a back-to-school party with free school supplies is my way of giving back to the community that shaped me. I hope to alleviate some of the burdens faced by families and inspire our kids to believe in themselves and their potential.
